Yea I prefer to make stuff without render because it is 100% created by myself. Unless I made the render of course...

Wow nice lovely works of art. I will be waiting for either Bleach or One piece to come into the picture. This is just a personal view from me, but it seems that you are focused on the charters. Have you tried including their weapons more like the few above with Kid and the girl with the gun.
If it is simple designs i have a picture floating in my head of a black background with a katana and just a short message on top of it. Don't really know if anyone can see what i am talking about.

it's funny that you said that. i was about to do either ichigo or shinji, but changed my mind and ragna from blazblue (the guy in the newest) instead.
i am indeed more focused on the characters.
i would focus on the weapons more if it didn't result with me having to make a huge canvas or resizing the render to be too small.

The lighting on the new one is really cool. The smudging on the signature with Yoko is really nice. I can never seem to get smudging right on gimp.

But I actually prefer gimp. Maybe I should just do all my graphic designing in gimp but do smudging on photoshop. I don't know why but I really dislike the GUI of photoshop.

I do not see how lol. I guess it is because you used gimp first, and have the mentality of only liking gimp. I am the same way with photoshop, anything else i instantly dislike because of any small thing.

It's actually because of the interface. I feel that gimp has everything where I need it. When I use photoshop I have no idea where all the tools are and whatnot. Sometimes it really pisses me off.

on some versions of PS, you can move all of the windows around, so that helps.
