Can't say that i'm going. Would love to go to the city that never sleeps, but i am afraid that once i'm there i won't want to leave. Maybe i will just check up on news regarding the event once it's over. I will be missing out on all those gamer chicks thought.

Don't forget that on top of your flying expenses you still need to pay for a ticket to get in. If i am not wrong there are other low key events for games which are free. Unless you can plan your holidays around them, those will be a better alternative.
Another is to wait for it to come to your country instead. That might take some time, but overall it is worth the wait if the game is good.
