Is Magazine Layout covered by the Graphic designers?

I was searching for the Magazine Layout designers. Is it covered by the Graphic designers?

I don't understand your question. If you're asking if graphic designer make the covers of the magazines then yes they do. Graphic designers are provided with an image. Lets say it's a picture of a woman. The graphic designer will try to make the woman look slimmer and with less wrikles, then he will add the magazines logo or the magazine name with some text effect. To finish off, he will ad some simple designs depending on how he feels would be best. That's how magazine covers are made. I think

It is not easy to be hired by one. I worked with a magazine before, we have a number of designers, but at the end of the day only one was picked. There was always competition and some rivalry between them.

Yes, especially on items such as playboy, or modeling companies. They actually pay extreme amounts of money to get their woman looking perfect both in person, and then fix up any flaws they might have. That is why when you see people in magazines, then look them up on the internet, they can sometimes look completely different, and even some cases extremely ugly.
