What can be expected from a Web design career

I was just worried about or wanted to know what scope or the limit does design career looms for them in future.

Well, if you're REALLY good you can get a job editing images for the covers of magazines and stuff like that. Otherwise you could be freelancing. You could probably offer your services on Digitalpoint, or even offer to create signatures for people in this forum in the marketplace section. Depending on how your work is, you could be earning alot.

Yes PickMeDown has made a good point. In fact if you went around the web searching for freelance designing jobs, you will be surprised at the pay for some of them. This has to be taken with a grain of salt as not every job will pay you that well. If you are a new comer and want to try to see if this is what you intend to do is to pop over to fiverr. Post something there along the lines of "Will design and make a logo for $5".

The whole trick is to get the first job done. Once that is achieved, you can evaluate if this is what you intend to do long term.

I like to graphic design, and thats what I plan to do long term. You can actually make quite alot of money if your a senior graphic designer. But you need to be able to work across all platforms.

Well from your work it is easy to see that you have an eye for detail. The whole problem is finding people that see the same time as you. Starting out on something new with no credit to your name makes it difficult for newbies to get the first job.

There is an endless job market around for designers, but the sad thing about that is they want people who are "Well known". Do a few low end jobs and start to build your port folio. Once you have a decent show case for your work things will turn around. Instead of looking for jobs they will be coming to you.

Actually if you're just starting out, you could just design some for fun. And when people have job offers you show them your work.

That is another area to consider. Unless one has enough free time to do this for fun and design things just for the "Heck" of it. Most people i know are too concern over the time. As they all say time is money.

Most people after they have tasted working life turn into watch watchers. By the time they are back home all they rather do is to switch off and not do anything.
